Meet Our Team
Maribel Lopez
I started this company when I saw the need for an outstanding billing company that has a strong and personalized relationship with its clients. I just wasn’t satisfied with a billing department that wouldn’t take on the responsibility of communicating directly with the patients. We understand Providers and their staff already have a lot on their plate. That gave me the motivation to start my own billing company that would handle all the patient related issues.
Whether it’s reviewing and auditing accounts and sending monthly statements, to making those unwanted collection calls so you can focus on what matters the most, patient care. Medical billing for me has always been my passion. There’s always new challenges and something new to learn. As the Billing Director my main goal is to make sure our Providers get reimbursed for all their hard work and dedication with their patients.
In my spare time I enjoy taking long walks with my dogs. I love to travel and explore new places. I’m a coffee lover, so you’ll probably see me at a nearby coffee shop.
Jessica Filio
In my role as a Medical Billing Specialist with LPZ Claim Solutions, my favorite part of my job is taking patient calls and being able to help patients understand any issues with their accounts. I also enjoy doing the daily mail and sending out patient statements. Throughout this time I have increased my knowledge in auditing patient accounts for both Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
In my spare time, my favorite thing to do is spending time with my family & friends. I love to play board games and do puzzles as a hobby. I also have a passion for hair styling because I love making people feel great about themselves with a good haircut.
Cassandra Lopez
As a Medical Billing Specialist at LPZ Claim Solutions, I have had the honor to work in various fields including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Chiropractic. I have acquired experience in Workers Compensations, Commercial Insurance, Motor Vehicle Accident/Liens, Authorizations, and Insurance Verification. My career in the Medical Billing field helps me stay alert and updated in the healthcare world, as there are always constant changes in how we provide our medical services.
My favorite aspect of my career is helping our patients fully comprehend any issues regarding an Explanation of Benefit they received from the insurance company or questions on what medical services are covered by their insurance plan. Knowing you make a difference in the type of care patients receive is a rewarding career that overcomes all challenges.
In my spare time, I love to go hiking in the mornings with my dog and trying out new restaurants in the area with my husband.
Vanessa Miller
With many years of experience in Medical Billing, my roles in LPZ include coaching the billing staff and auditing complicated accounts. One of my areas of expertise is preparing appeal letters and Reconsideration letters. I am the go-to person when it comes to Workers Compensations and Auto Accidents. My top priority in the A/R reports is dealing directly with Insurance Adjusters and attorneys for any outstanding balances. I’m well versed in Insurance verification, Prior Authorizations, and clinical submissions.
As a team lead, my responsibilities include making sure every account is thoroughly worked on and seeking top insurance reimbursement for all services rendered by our Providers. I also train any new employees and implement new changes and direct team meetings. What I love most about my career is that there’s never a dull moment, I’m always constantly on my feet and I love new challenges.
Giving it my best is my motto. Aside from accomplishing all my work duties, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our new addition to the family with acrobat skills, our kitty, Kiki. I’m currently obsessed with coffee & Chick-fil-A. My slogan is Life is better Laughing.
Ruby Valenzuela
My role with LPZ is as a Medical Billing Specialist. My favorite part of Medical billing is posting payment and making courtesy calls to collect past due balances. Throughout these years I have acquired experience in MVA Liens and Workers Compensation for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Internal Medicine, as well as some Chiropractic. My goal is to continue being up to date with any insurance changes which includes attending any provider forums and seminars.
